Donation to local volunteer group

As a company, Pumps United (formerly the MDW Group) regularly contributes to activities and programs that support our communities and people in our business.

We are passionate about caring for the environment. Our environmental services business provides customers with the knowledge and expertise to delivering innovative, safe and practical environmental solutions.

In 2016, Mobile Dewatering showed its support to a local environmental volunteer group, The Friends of the Spectacles, by donating two IBC tanks to assist with bush regeneration work.

The Friends of the Spectacles (FotS) is a volunteer group caring for the Spectacles wetlands located in the City of Kwinana. The group was formed after a major bush fire swept through the wetlands in December 2007 and supports the rehabilitation of the wetland area through activities such as re-vegetation, seed collection, propagation, and weed control.

The following letter of thanks was received from the organisation.

To James

Here is a couple of photos of our regulars at The Friends of The Spectacles in front of the 2 donated IBC tanks from Mobile Dewatering.

The Friends of The Spectacles would like to thank Mobile Dewatering for their generosity in donating 2 IBC tanks to assist with our ongoing revegetation and bush care work at The Spectacles, Kwinana. The IBC’s are kindly filled by DPAW with the water used in our newly revegetated areas and assisting in plant survival during summer. Over the past couple of summers, our old IBC’s have been filling with algae, which would clog up our retic making it difficult to water as well as having broken taps resulting in much of the water lost to the ground. Just last weekend, our friends group hosted a community event at The Spectacles planting and giving away 650 native plants (purchased with grant money) with the IBC’s providing the water for the newly planted plants.

Thank you again
